The Brandon is gone!

Brandon Sign
This was the pub sign at the front of the Brandon Hotel in Carlton, probably Melbourne's finest hostelery. It features the emblem of Britannia: Boadicea wearing bells, dancing Morris, waving hankies and drinking beer. Sadly the Brandon is no more.

Poor Old Landlord

by Wayne Burtt last modified 2006-10-04 12:35 Traditional - sort of.

Poor old landlord, can’t get the buggers out,
Can’t get the buggers out, can’t get the buggers out.
Poor old landlord, can’t get the buggers out,
Time gentlemen please.
Time gentlemen please, time gentlemen please,
Poor old landlord, can’t get the buggers out,
Time gentlemen please.

Come on now, you’ve ate our sausages,
Ate our sausages, ate our sausages.
Come on now, you’ve ate our sausages,
Time gentlemen please.
Time gentlemen please, time gentlemen please,
Come on now, you’ve ate our sausages,
Time gentlemen please.

Come on now, you’ve drunk our free beer,
Drunk our free beer, drunk our free beer.
etc

Ain’t you got no whomes to go to,
Whomes to go to, whomes to go to.
etc

Poor old landlord, can’t get the buggers out,
Can’t get the buggers out, can’t get the buggers out.
etc
