The Brandon is gone!

Brandon Sign
This was the pub sign at the front of the Brandon Hotel in Carlton, probably Melbourne's finest hostelery. It features the emblem of Britannia: Boadicea wearing bells, dancing Morris, waving hankies and drinking beer. Sadly the Brandon is no more.

Join The Britannia Morris Men

by David Purdue last modified 2007-02-16 17:31 Copyright 2006 The Britannia Morris Men

You know you want to!

So you want to be a Morris Dancer, eh? Well, you've come to the right place!

The best way to join is to just turn up to one of our practices. We practice every first and third Thursday of the month from 7:30pm - but there are exceptions, so please check the calendar and “upcoming events” section on the right.

We practice at:

The Brunswick Town Hall
233 Sydney Road
Brunswick, VIC, 3056
Melways ref: 29 G8

Please call David on 0419 669 955 or Nigel on 0400 310 701 if you want to come along to check that there has been no last minute change of plans. Or email David at davidp@britannia.org.au.

Note that the building is often locked in the evening, but you can call us to gain entry, or knock really loud, or just wait - we come and check the door every 5-10 minutes.

The other way to join is to come and talk to us at one of our gigs (again, see the “upcoming events” section on the right). Despite all appearances, we are quite a friendly bunch.
