The Brandon is gone!

Brandon Sign
This was the pub sign at the front of the Brandon Hotel in Carlton, probably Melbourne's finest hostelery. It features the emblem of Britannia: Boadicea wearing bells, dancing Morris, waving hankies and drinking beer. Sadly the Brandon is no more.

Where would a Morris team be without its sticks. And we always seem to be losing or breaking them, and need a fresh supply each year.

So this weekend we are travelling to Launceston in Northern Tasmania to gather some sticks for our good friend Mr Steve Dancer.

Hosted by the wonderful and generous Longford Morris, we hope a few Jolley Hatters will also visit from Hobart.

Apart from the chopping and the sawing and the sanding and such, there should also be time for some eating and some drinking and some dancing in public - so look for us on the streets of Launceston!
