The Brandon is gone!

This was the pub sign at the front of the Brandon Hotel in Carlton, probably Melbourne's finest hostelery. It features the emblem of Britannia: Boadicea wearing bells, dancing Morris, waving hankies and drinking beer. Sadly the Brandon is no more.

The Flag of Saint GeorgeSt George, the Patron Saint of England, celebrates his day on April 23rd each year.

This year Britannia, along with all Victorian Morris sides, has been invited to celebrate the day at The Charles Dickens hotel.

Find us at the Dickens (Collins St, Melbourne) from 6pm on.
