The Brandon is gone!

Brandon Sign
This was the pub sign at the front of the Brandon Hotel in Carlton, probably Melbourne's finest hostelery. It features the emblem of Britannia: Boadicea wearing bells, dancing Morris, waving hankies and drinking beer. Sadly the Brandon is no more.

Britannia are regular favourites at the Kellybrook Cider Festival (1st weekend of May), having danced there for around 15 years.

The festival celebrates the annual apple harvest, and there will be apple juice, scrumpy and cider on sale, as well as Kellybrook's famous Champagne Cider and Apple Brandy, and a wide range of grape based wines as well.

For entertainment there will be winery tours and cider making demonstrations, bands, a storyteller, and of course The Britannia Morris Men (with guests Brandragon Morris on Saturday).
