The Brandon is gone!

Brandon Sign
This was the pub sign at the front of the Brandon Hotel in Carlton, probably Melbourne's finest hostelery. It features the emblem of Britannia: Boadicea wearing bells, dancing Morris, waving hankies and drinking beer. Sadly the Brandon is no more.

The Counihan Gallery is at 233 Sydney Road, Brunswick, VIC, 3056 - next to the Brunswick Town Hall (this is the entrance we have to use to get to practice anyway).

During the year the gallery will hold several exhibitions, which they always launch on a Thursday night, and often one that coincides with a Britannia practice.

Well, it's a good way to get a nibble and a glass of cheap plonk - and sometimes the art is not half bad!
